Carol Stewart

December 25, 1925 ~ November 30, 2018 (age 92)

On November 30th 2018, we said our goodbyes to a very special lady She brought us all great joy Carol was extra special. She was a Christmas baby born on the 25th of December 1925. She would always say that she got jipped on her birthday presents which would make us chuckle. Carol was just 25 days from her 93rd birthday.

Carol hated her picture being taken which means that there is not very many of her available. When someone would pull out a camera she would get so furious and would never talk to you again if you took any pictures of her. However on the other hand she loved to take pictures of others.

She played catcher and a few other positions at baseball games that was held at the old Palamar Carol loved Baseball. She had a love for flying. Carol took flying lessons from Leo Burston. She was in the Civil Air Patrol. She also loved working with power tools.

Carol had many jobs. She really enjoyed working at Lovells inc. with Lem Lovell and Devon Peterson. She knew where every part was in the shop and found everything quickly for patrons. She also worked at the feedlot with Carl Ashby.

Carol loved traveling and would go on many trips around the country Carol once went on a trip with her father Glen Stewart and nephew Robert Rainsdon. They went to see the big Redwoods, the hole in the rock, and many other things in California. She did all of those travels without a drivers license which at that time was normal. She eventually got one later in life. We have many fond memories of our special lady.

Carol never married. She is survived by her sister Ethel Boyden, nephew Robert Rainsdon, and niece Cindy Stewart. She is preceded in death by her father Glen Stewart, mother Herma Neilson, sister Ruth Rainsdon Price, brother Joseph Stewart (living-wife Coleen Barben), and nephew Russell Stewart.

We had the pleasure of having Carol home for thanksgiving as our last time at being together.  We are so thankful for that time, it was so enjoyable. We never knew her to talk ill or hear a bad word come from her mouth. We love you dearly and will miss you so much, our grand lady.
