Charles Andrews Weed, 65, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Fillmore, Utah.  He was born March 25, 1951 to Francis Darcie Gordon & M. Evelyn Weed.

Charles was born in Visalia, California but soon moved to Lancaster California where he spent formative years in the high desert riding dirt bikes as well as many other pursuits.  Charles attended Antelope Valley High School.  He joined the U.S. Army where he spent time in boot camp in fort Orde California where he strengthened his mind and body while learning tank tactics and rocketry school.  Later Charles spent his tour of duty in Germany, because of his young age we wasn’t sent to Vietnam; he was tasked with defending the bordered Germany.   After his tour of duty he returned to the high desert, Las Vegas by way of Lancaster, CA.  In the family glass business (Glazing).  Then to Vegas for 25 years with short stints in Pittsburgh, PA & Organ.  Charles finely moved to Fillmore where he built a new home on the same property formally occupied by Al and Emely Weed.  Charles loved riding his quad while exploring the mountains above Fillmore with  his brother Vaughn.

Charles was a soldier and a well-traveled soul.  Charles is survived by his mother Minnie; Brother Vaughn; and his daughter Marcy.

P.S. It seems apropos that being a veteran himself he left our world on Memorial Day weekend.
