Dale P. Bond was born on November 25, 1946, in Meadow, Utah, to Calvin Leroy Bond and Beryl Frances Chaplin. He grew up in Meadow alongside his siblings, Ronald Bond and Yvonne Rasmussen, and was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jean Bond. From a young age, Dale learned the value of hard work, family, and the simple joys found in the outdoors—lessons that shaped the man he became.
In 1966, Dale answered the call to serve his country. He proudly served in the United States military through 1969, including a tour in Vietnam. His service was a defining chapter of his life, one he carried with humility, strength, and deep loyalty.
On January 3, 1968, Dale married Deila Grace Taylor, with whom he shared many years and welcomed four children: Lisa Lynn Fritcher, Penny Jo Thompson, Michelle Jean Bond, and Dale Patrick Bond II. After Deila’s passing, Dale later married Barb Petty on June 17, 2022, with whom he found companionship later in life.
For his career, Dale worked as a heavy equipment operator at IPSC, where he dedicated many years before retiring. He was known as a man of many skills—someone who could fix nearly anything and was always willing to lend a hand. Beyond work, Dale poured his energy into the things he loved. He took pride in coaching golf, running the local car wash and storage units, and staying busy with hands-on projects.
Dale was happiest outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, camping, or spending a day on the golf course, he found peace and joy in nature. His love for golfing in particular became a lifelong passion that brought him friendships, fun, and fulfillment.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deila Bond; his sister, Carol Jean Bond; his grandson, Jacob Webb; and his nephew, Calvin Bond. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, generosity, and quiet strength that will be forever cherished by his family and all who knew him.
