David Callahan, 64, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Fillmore, Utah. He was born August, 29, 1957 in Los Angeles, California.
David was such an amazing man; he had a heart of gold. He made sure everyone was taken care of and really held the family together. Once you were David’s friends it was for life. David didn’t have any children of his own but, he made sure all the kids not only the Callahan kids but all the kids that came around stayed in line. He was just like a second father to all of the children in the area. David use to say “he was hand-picked to be a Callahan, grandpa and grandma could have had anyone but, they picked me.” We are so grateful they did. If you were special to him, he made sure you knew it. David had many brothers and sisters but, the ones he claimed made it so large we couldn’t even name them all. David had some amazing past times, but the ones I know he held the close was the memories he made with his father Darrell Callahan and mother Catherine Callahan.
David loved the beauty of this wonderful world he loved flowers and plants knew what everything was. He spent so much time with Grandpa Callahan every summer working on the garden, the yard, and mending all the kids. He also had a great love for music so much he made sure the neighbors could hear. David was always a great listen he had a spot on the porch for anyone who needed it, I remember spending hours out there chatting away, he always had amazing stories to tell. David and Afton were so close and were always there for one another sometimes they drove each other crazy but if anything happened they were always there for each other. They have always been there for anyone in need. Now it is time for us to lay David to rest so he can fly high in heaven with Grandpa and Grandpa Callahan.
Graveside services will be held at the Fillmore City Cemetery on Friday Sept 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM; We would like to thank everyone for all their kind word and support. Thank you from the Callahans
