Erwin was born in Fillmore, Utah, he grew up in Kanosh looking forward to deer hunting and fishing since he was young and he shot his first deer when he was 8 years old. He was strong as he got older, strong enough to carry a deer on his back after it was cleaned out all the way back to his truck.

Back in his youth he was a bar fighter and would always tell us his stories that we’d call his “war stories”. He would also always get excited to go fishing with his sons and brother Ferlin.

Erwin and his best friend Brent Cluff would go panning for gold and rock hunting. Erwin’s had many animal companions, but Black guy is who he would always talk about and then Bear was by his side for the last ten years. He was a farmer, mechanic and truck driver most of his life. He loved and cherished his family, especially his grandson Adehy.

He enjoyed playing pool four nights a week and made many good friends in the pool community. If he wasn’t playing pool, he was playing slots or bingo in Mesquite with his wife Carrie. He was a man of many things that would take much longer time to say. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
