With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic and unexpected passing of Greg Bennett Wade on July 24, 2026.
He was born on July 29, 1982, in Fillmore, Utah. From the very beginning, Greg lived life with an adventurous spirit. As a little boy, he was always on the move, exploring every corner of town on his big wheel and his dog by his side. His curiosity often led him on little adventures, including happily riding into Millard High school where he became a familiar sight. Those who knew him as a child remember his energy, fearless nature and his mischievous grin.
In high school, he found a love of athletics. He excelled in football, wrestling, and some baseball, where he made lifelong friends. Greg graduated from Millard High School with the class of 2001.
He married Jaime Nelson Wade on June 30, 2007. They were blessed with four beautiful children, McCrae, Colter, Caislee, and Quincee. They were his greatest joy in life. Though his marriage later ended, his love for his children remained constant, and he was proud of the family they had built together. He loved to follow his children in their sporting events and shared a love of the outdoors with them.
Greg operated the family-owned business, Wade Drilling. When he wasn’t working, Greg would often be found behind the wheel of his favorite white Dodge pickup truck with his dog by his side. Whether he was checking in on family or visiting friends, he never met a stranger because he always made time for a conversation, a laugh, or gave a helping hand to someone in need.
He was a light to all those that knew him and was loved by so many. He will be dearly missed.
Greg is survived by his children, McCrae, Colter, Caislee and Quincee; his father, Richard (Kady) and his siblings, Cheryle (Kraig), Brian (ShaRee), and Trevor (Monica)
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Wade, and his brother, Jeff Wade.
A viewing will be held in Greg's honor on July 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on August 1 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at the Holden Ward, 100 N. 110 E., Holden, Utah. Interment will follow at the Holden Cemetery. The funeral stream link: https://youtube.com/live/rK6J7AK4WWg?feature=share
