Jack Eugene Dennison, Sr., age 69, passed away at his home on April 29, 2026, in Delta, Utah. Born on September 18, 1956, in Delta, Utah, Jack lived a life filled with hard work, music, and the rugged spirit of a true cowboy.

Jack graduated from Tooele High School in 1974 and went on to dedicate his career to roles that reflected his deep connection to the land and community. He worked for Tooele City as the sexton for the Tooele City Cemetery, contributed to maintenance efforts in Tooele County, and lent his skills to McIntyre Ranch and Delta, Hinkley Cemetery. His work was a testament to his commitment to preserving and caring for the places that mattered most.

On February 17, 1993, Jack married his soulmate, Denise Martinez. Together they built a life in Delta filled with love and shared passions. Jack’s family was at the heart of everything he did. He is survived by his beloved wife Denise; daughter Misti (Dean) Williams; sons Gene (Marjie) Dennison and Jeremy (Jamie) Dennison; his mother Arlene Dennison; mother-in-law Lila Martinez; sister Janet Peterson; brother Dean (Adele) Dennison; sister in law Angela (Paul) Normandeau; sister in law Marie (Shaun) Jenson; brother in law Matthew (Becky) Martinez; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Eugene Dennison, brother Danny Dennison and sister Ellen Lorraine Dennison and father-in-law Joe Martinez.

Jack had an extraordinary passion for music. A natural talent, he could play any instrument he picked up and spent much of his life performing with various bands. His guitar playing and singing brought joy to many who were fortunate enough to hear him. Whether it was a lively tune or a heartfelt ballad, Jack’s music was an extension of his soul.

A cowboy through and through, Jack embodied resilience and determination. He often shared his philosophy that with baling twine, wire, and duct tape, anything could be fixed—a testament to his resourcefulness as a master "MacGyver." His toughness was legendary among those who knew him best. One story that stands out is when he rode his horse from Stockton to Tooele before dawn because the gas had frozen in the truck—a feat that perfectly captured his grit and determination.

Jack’s legacy is one of strength, creativity, and an unwavering love for family. His memory will live on through the music he played, the lessons he taught about perseverance and ingenuity, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

May Jack Eugene Dennison Sr.’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Delta Cemetery 350 East 750 North.
