Joyce Ludean Marshall Anderson

Joyce Ludean Marshall Anderson “LilBit”, age 90, of Orem, Utah, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father, having fulfilled her mortal mission with faith and love. We find comfort in the knowledge that families are eternal.

Born in Fillmore, Utah, to Gussie Millgate Marshall and Frank Marshall, Joyce was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.

She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Rodney Anderson, in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 14, 1957, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, faith, and devotion to the gospel. Together, they raised their family in righteousness and later had the sacred opportunity to serve as mission presidents for the Melbourne, Australia Mission from 1995 to 1998, a calling they fulfilled with consecrated hearts and a deep desire to build the Lord’s kingdom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, and her son-in-law.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Erin) and Staci (Bob); her grandchildren, Aaron (Leonie), Alyssa (Colby), Abby (Trevor), Kory (Kristin), Chris (Kayli), Cami, Alyssa (Dallin), Taylor, Madison, Ethan, and Emery; and by her great-grandchildren, Maverik, Ryder, Isla, Lilly, Lydia, Lincoln, Lynnea, Levi, Brynlee, Carter, Capri, Daxton, and Xander.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23rd, 2025, with a viewing from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Olpin Stevens Funeral Home, 55 W 200 S, Fillmore, UT 84631, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM in the Fillmore City Cemetery, 325 E 600 S, Fillmore, UT 84631.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Treeo Orem Assisted Living, Beyond Senior Care, and the many friends, neighbors, and ward members who showed such kindness and support.

She lived a life of quiet faith, devoted service, and unwavering love for her family and her Savior. We find peace in knowing she has returned home, and through the blessings of the temple, we will see her again. Until then, her legacy will live on in the lives she touched.
