June Diane Dixon, born April 2nd, 1943, passed away September 1st, 2025.
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend (Nanny) passed away peacefully in her daughter's home, surrounded by family, on September 1st, 2025, at the age of 82.
June was born in Birmingham, England, in 1943 to Samuel and Rosetta Lewis. She was the youngest of four girls, including her twin sister. Nanny was a rebellious tomboy who had a knack for getting into trouble. Nanny was raised in the Church of England, and at the age of 38, she converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There she found her love for temple work and a great passion for genealogy, where she brought hundreds of her family to the gospel. She was a true pioneer. June worked at the Manti Temple as a temple ordinance worker. She was a devoted member of the church who touched the lives of many with her amazing testimony. She had a strong love of the gospel and an unwavering faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.
June married James Dixon on April 4th, 1970. They were blessed with two children, Jason and Julie. June has 9 beautiful grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She spent her life doting on them and giving them everything and more. From trips to Kanosh, Webkins, teaching kids to drive/wacky driving and fishtails, Christmas jammies, fish and chips, swim lessons, Cherry Hill, Savers, dollar movie theater, sleepovers, endless hours of NCIS, helping film YouTube videos, tickle Nanny time, stepping on Nannys toes, and Nanny getting black eyes from grandkids karate kicking her in the face were some of the best times of the grandchildren’s lives all thanks to her. She was blessed enough to be able to enjoy 10 great-grandchildren, with one in Heaven and one on the way. Nanny was an obsession to all 10 great-grandchildren, with endless cuddles and snacks. June is the honorary Nanny to many more children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a Nanny to all and touched the lives of all who knew her. To know Nanny was to have another grandma to love.
June was preceded in death by her mother, Rose; her father, Sam; her sisters, Rita and Jean; her great-grandson, Hudson; and her beloved dog, Rose. June is survived by her twin sister Barbara, children Jason (Reene), Julie (Chris), grandchildren Savanna, Brayden, Mandy, Wesley, Becca, Jenna, Talmadge, Lily, Sam, and great-grandchildren Abigail, Trevor, Liah, Kaden, Grayson, Kiana, Madison, Willow, Max, and Rowan.
