Lenora Skidmore

OGDEN – Lenora Alice Bowen Skidmore, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the age of 89. 

              Lenora was born February 12, 1927, in Milford, Utah, the daughter of Leonard Reuben Bowen and Alice Jane Watts Bowen.  She graduated from Milford High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree from Utah State University, and taught elementary school in the Weber School District.

            She married William Art Skidmore March 19, 1947, in the Logan, Utah, Temple, and they are  parents of six children:  Alice Allred (Forrest), William Leonard (Cheryl), Karen,  Keith Lee (deceased), Ross Alan (Robbie), and Judy Gustafson (Mark), 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

              She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

               A viewing will be held at Olpin Stevens Funeral Home, Fillmore, Utah, on Saturday, February 11 from 2 to 3 p.m.  Graveside service and interment will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Kanosh Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.  Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com
