Grandma Patty, Pat, Patone, Crabby Patty was born on March 17, 1957 in Delta, Utah to Raymond and Rayola Smith. Trish graduated from Delta High School in 1975 where she was a Tridel and on the student council.

She met and married Randy Rich on March 12, 1977. They went on to have six children together. Burgundy Rich Butler, Tyson Cole Rich, Mackenzie Rich King, Shannon Chance Rich, Alix Rich Shurtz, and Franki Rich Stevens. She is preceded in death by Randy and by her parents and niece Shannel Smith.

Trish graduated in 1987 with her LPN license as a graduate response. Later in 1989, she received her RN license from Weber State University.

After graduation, she then worked in Payson Utah in the Labor and Delivery Unit, she enjoyed a career as a Public Health nurse and a School nurse for Millard County. She was also a nurse at IPSC. She managed Total Home Care, and then finished her career with Millard County Care and Rehab.

She made life a little sweeter, whether it was a treat bag for her grandkids, a handmade creation from her sewing room, or making every holiday feel special. Her delicious meatloaf recipe was a favorite. She loved all things pumpkins, Halloween, and antiques. You could often catch her humming while she cleaned, keeping herself busy and making even the simplest tasks her own. She loved cheering on her family and never missed a chance to be part of their lives. And, of course, she had her own schedule. We all learned to run on “Patty time,” because being on time was never quite her thing! Her love for her family, her little quirks, and the joy she brought to everyday moments were just as much a part of her as her love for nursing.

She then married Neal Riding in November of 1992, where he brought two boys to the marriage making them a family of ten. Later they welcomed Reygan Smith Riding and Rett Mikel Riding, who completed their family of twelve.

She loved serving others being a nurse. Her work ethic and care for others was unmatched. She loved all of her patients from babies to the sweet elderly that she cared for.

Trish was never without her nails painted, three or more bags on her arm, and her notable long hair done just right. She loved her husband and kids so much, and her grandkids possibly for sure, even more. Along with Mr. Wilson and Lolly, the family dogs, coming in as a close second.

She is missed more than our words can describe.

Trish is survived by all of her children and their spouses and 24 grandchildren. Brynlee Jaey, Baeyler C, Blake Brandon, Britton D, Brylee Kay, Bowen Lyle, Ridger Colt, Wakley Shannel, Staheli Ola, Keilty Niqole, Estie Adele, Gavin Trevor, Ryatt Colden, Parkyr May, Nash Jacob, Palmer Nicholas, Blair Randy, Briar Layne, Fisher Todd, Connor Carson, Slade LaRue, Carson Kael, Koevy Rae, Ryze Neal. And her three handsome brothers. Jim, Doug, and Jake Smith.
