Ronald B Anderson passed away at 97 years young in his home on January 10, 2026 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Scipio, on August 6,1928, to Brooks and Melva Anderson.
On February 26, 1954 Ronald married Evalo Corry in the Manti Temple.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission in Yuma Arizona and a service mission with his wife at Cove Fort. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and his life reflected that.
He then turned to what became his lifelong profession, a woodshop teacher at Millard High School and Fillmore Middle School. Along with his students he also built two homes in Fillmore. He was a natural leader and formed many bonds with his students and peers.
Ronald loved the outdoors, especially being in the mountains, gardening, and being with his horses. And most of all he loved his family.
Thanks, Dad, for all the memories; we had an exceptional time together.
Ronald is survived by his eternal companion Evalo, his children Layna, Cory (Mary), Gail (Ernie), Richard (Michelle), 17 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Brooks and Melva, sisters Flora and Colleen, daughter Rahny and grandson Josh.
A viewing will be held Friday, January 16, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore City Cemetery.
