Sharon J. Ivie

Delta, Utah – Sharon J. Ivie Bishop, 68, passed away May 24, 2017 at Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah. She was born April 15, 1949 in Fillmore, Utah to William Clark and Lillian Jacklin Ivie. She married Garn M. Bishop April 28, 1990 in Delta, Utah.

                Sharon was raised in Sutherland and Delta Utah, she graduated from Delta High School. She pursued her education in cosmetology and law enforcement. She worked many jobs in support of her family. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, sewing, crochet, auto mechanics, carpentry, baking and taking care of family and friends. She and Garn became foster parents. Provided love and support to all who needed it. She enjoyed camping, barbeques, food fights, playing cards, dice games, being out of doors in her yard, talking on the phone and visiting with folks.

                She is survived by her children: Garn Milo & Jeanine Bishop of Provo, UT; Arlinda J. & Brian Miller of Converse, LA; Gregory & Tonya Bishop of Tooele, UT; Mary Ann Safford and Robert Davis of Fallon, NV; Suzette I. & Michael Bolin of Enterprise, KS; Kelly Bishop & Miranda Garrett of Idabel, OK; Shari & Bobby Goodman of Many, LA; Jacob Bishop & Kim Phelts of Idabel, OK; Elizabeth Bishop & Sam Baker of Delta, UT; Julie & Scott Paulman of Delta, UT and Stephen V. Bishop of Delta, UT; 43 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren and 17 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Garn M. Bishop; parents Clark & Lillian Ivie; brothers Joe Ivie, Louis Ivie, Edwin Ivie and Rodney Ivie; sister Sharlene Ivie.

                Funeral services will be Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Delta City Cemetery, 450 E 750 N, Delta, UT 84624. Interment will be in the Delta City Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. Online condolences can be expressed at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
