Stewart Labrum, age 71, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, in Las Vegas after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He was born April, 24, 1943, in Meadow, Utah, son of George Ephraim and Velva Stewart Labrum. He graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore. He worked at the Las Vegas Hilton for 36 years. After retiring in 2006, he moved to Meadow, Utah. He will be remembered most by his piercing blue eyes, great smile, generosity, and a gentle heart with a witty sense of humor. He loved his family and friends, the great outdoors and most of all his time spent riding horses in the beautiful Utah mountains.
Surviving family include: Caregiver and loving former wife Sharon Labrum, son Shawn, deceased (Sherry), Stephen (Summer Clowers), daughter, Sheri (Gary) Gunny; grandchildren, Dallas, Shelby & Austin Gunny. He came from a family of 9 brothers and sisters, Ken, Daryl, Lee, Jean, Joyce, Sarah, Beth, Rosemary, and Susan.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 am in the Meadow Town Cemetery in Meadow, Utah. Arrangements are under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home of Fillmore, Utah. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
