Whitney Lynn Quarnberg Elton passed through this life and went home to prepare a place for all of us she loved here on earth. She was fearless, strong, and unafraid of any challenge placed before her. We can only hope that God understands what He is getting by calling her home so quickly.
Whitney loved three men deeply in her life: her Grandpa Clinton, Corbin Higgins, and her precious son, Trip. She also shared a love with her mother, Jill, that is difficult to put into words. Though their time together was far too short, they lived a lifetime of memories. Jill was, and will always be, Whitney’s eternal soulmate — an unbreakable bond cemented through time.
She leaves behind three siblings — Deegan, Jaelee, and Addison — whom she loved to tease, boss around, laugh with, and shower with affection. Thanks for Richard Warren opened his heart, his home, and his love to Whitney, and she cherished him for it. Whitney often spoke of her brothers Justin and Jeremy, and would want them to know how deeply she cared for them.
A special tribute must be paid to her Grandma Donna, who laughed, cried, and loved Whitney through many of life’s hard and wonderful moments. They shared countless nights snuggled together, and there will always be a whisper of gratitude and love for her Grandma, echoing through eternity.
Whitney was like the wind — those who felt the breeze in their hair were touched by her love. There are more people than could ever be mentioned by name, but if you ever felt the wind while with her, you know she loved you.
Whitney’s funeral will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, at 11:00 AM at the Scipio Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Scipio Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral will be streamed and available at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com
The family is overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness shown by the Scipio community and all those whose lives Whitney touched. It saddens us to think she may not have fully known just how far her love and light reached. We could never repay the love and kindness shown to us. But we hope that when you feel the soft brush of the wind against your cheek, you will recognize it as a genuine kiss from Whitney.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything.
